Rotary Marrakech 2025: A Global Gathering for Positive Peace

The Rotary Marrakech 2025 conference took place in Morocco from May 15–18, 2025 under the theme "Positive Peace, a Rotarian Commitment." Rotarians, decision-makers, young people, and civil-society representatives discussed how cooperation, education, and shared values can support peace.

Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 41st Conference of Rotary District 9010 provided a platform for dialogue and action.

Orchid Island Group's participation

Orchid Island Group participated through its honorary president, Mr. Mohamed Dekkak. The group presented its involvement as part of a commitment to civic action, inclusive development, and Rotary's values.

Jamal Belahrach emphasised education in raising generations committed to tolerance and solidarity. Abdelfettah Sbai gave a poetry reading on peace, while a master class examined the use of AI in conflict resolution.

Civic engagement by businesses

Mohamed Dekkak argued that companies should contribute to dialogue and progress as well as profit. The group's stated activities connect with positive-peace themes through investment in human capital, local job creation, territorial governance, and sustainable neighbourhoods.

Marrakech as a setting for dialogue
