Ifrane Learning Festival 2025: Innovation and Knowledge at Al Akhawayn University

The Learning Festival 2025 took place on May 9–10 at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) under the theme “Expanding Horizons and Empowering Minds.” Organized by AUI’s School of Science and Engineering (SSE), the event brought together students, faculty members and industry leaders for scientific exhibitions, project presentations, information sessions and recruitment opportunities designed for SSE students.

How the SSE Fosters Innovation

The festival highlighted SSE initiatives such as student-led senior projects, undergraduate research and collaboration among students, faculty members and industry partners.

One prominent feature was the Speed Job Dating session, where companies met pre-screened graduates and learned more than a résumé alone could convey. A contract-signing ceremony was also held for selected students with support from major technology companies, including Oracle R&D Center.

Senior Project Presentations

Senior projects were a highlight of the event. They demonstrated how SSE students apply their knowledge and innovative technologies to solve practical problems.

Undergraduate Research Day on Quantum Machine Learning

This SSE-organized session explored the intersection of quantum computing and artificial intelligence through quantum machine learning (QML), with a focus on how these fields are shaping future technologies.

Information Sessions

Experts from Oracle R&D Center led sessions that gave students insight into current developments in science and engineering.

URS Presentation

The SSE also presented the Undergraduate Research School (URS), an initiative that helps students build applied research skills and develop solutions to industrial and managerial challenges.

During the festival, 44 students presented research and feasibility studies. Around 20 to 30 were selected for the quality of their work and their dedication.
